If you didn't read my email from 2 days ago it is at the bottom of this one.

Help for Orphans International has a volunteer named Jonathan on the ground in Haiti right now. He is a pilot, personally using his own plane. I hear directly from Jonathan everyday.

He said there is a BIG need for morphine here in the hospitals (or at least oral narcotics). They are doing amputations without it. That might be the single most important item to distribute now. Apparently there are quantities in Port Au Prince but the army has taken over and distribution is very slow. Pass the word.

As I mentioned before, Jonathan has this knowledge because he has the only small aircraft on the ground in Haiti right now, which is shuttling in supplies and help. Due to his tireless efforts he has been able to bring medical personnel, supplies, food, water and medication directly to the people who need it most. It is because of the money we raise that enables him to continue to pay for fuel and supplies.

I want you to think about this for a minute. Can you imagine if your child, your brother, or your grandchild was in severe pain for days on end, with no medical care? Can you imagine your child losing ALL the family they have ever known and left to fend for themselves on the streets, surrounded by decomposing bodies? This is the situation for so many in Haiti.

These children need our help. I realize I may be sounding very dramatic here but this is the honest truth. I need every one of you to understand and pass on how severely help is needed there. Most of us, if not all, take for granted the food and water we have at our disposal. So many lives are being lost in Haiti – today - because they are lacking the simple essentials.

So, please, give whatever you can. A few dollars from everyone reading this will make a huge difference. Give up the Starbucks for just one week.

Text "support orphans" to 20222 to give $5 on your cell bill.

To make a larger contribution go to www.helpfororphans.org and click “Donate now" and most of all PLEASE spread the word to EVERYONE you know!

See our Press release released early this morning: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2010/01/prweb3505184.htm

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!

Love,

Josie Dobin
917.704.2131 mobile
Help for Orphans International
YouTube Video

"A one-time donation of $5 will be added to your mobile phone bill or deducted from your prepaid balance. She has done a lot of work helping orphans in Kenya and is now solely focused on helping the orphans affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

I don't like to spread bad news but we have a volunteer from our organization who's been on the ground there since over a week ago. Words cannot describe the devastation that he has described to me. Imagine a little child losing ALL their family, wounded, no place to live and with little food/water. This is TRULY the situation.

Sarah and myself are going to Haiti in the next few days to raise awareness and to strategize HOW we are most effectively going to help. We will also be purchasing food/formula/diapers in the Dominican Republic to bring to the most hard hit areas.

Our volunteer there named Jonathan flew his 4 seater aircraft 2000 miles from Sag Harbor, NY and is shuttling back and forth between neighboring areas bringing supplies and medical personnel to the most desperate areas. Today he texted me that he was enroute to bring saws and morphine to a medical unit there.

The only way we can keep him doing this is to continue to send him funds.

Do NOT think that they have ENOUGH help because they don't. What we are doing IS making a difference! Jonathan says that he has the only small aircraft shuttling that he has seen. Additionally, because his aircraft is so small he has been cleared to land at Port au Prince airport.

We can NOT continue to do what we're doing without more donations! There's just NO way! Sadly, the surrounding areas have taken advantage of this tragedy and the cost of fuel and food etc.. has skyrocketed! All your donations are 100% tax deductible and you can know that we are actually USING your money RIGHT NOW to make a difference! Anything helps!

Here's how to donate:

1. Click this now Help For Orphans, then select "donate now" on the top left navigation.

2. Text 20222 from you cell phone and type "support orphans" and you will be charged $5 on your next cell phone bill.

3. Call me at 917.704.2131.

More about us:

Help For Orphans

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Watch the webinar recording asap

The webinar last night with my friend the former money manager was 'sold out'! He gave us more powerful trading content than most paid courses. And, because the webinar was filled to capacity we are posting the recording.

Here's the link to register for the webinar replay.

Exchange Traded Index Funds

One of the things he taught us is called the "Law of Association"; which states that in 5 years you will become like the people you hang out with and the books you read and the courses you study.

The bottom line is that if you want to learn to trade big, or profitably and consistently, you need to be around someone who does. Someone like our webinar instructor who used to trade $50 million at a time.

Here's a short list of only some of the highlights:

- A little known position sizing trick that can double your returns regardless of what market or system you trade.

- Two simple tricks that instantly remove 95% of your emotions in trading. As all traders know the emotions of fear and greed are the number one enemies of traders; beat them and you win.

- How some hedge funds hunt stops and a simple trick to avoid being a victim. Yes hedge funds, brokers and other individuals (not the "market") really do hunt stops.

- Why money managers only risk 1-2% per trade and still make great returns.

- Why trading is not a "zero sum game" and what this really means for the average trader.

- How to make strong profits using the daily charts and trading only 10 minutes per night.

- How Warren Buffett, Jim Rogers and others became great traders and investors.

- What the "gurus" selling hype trading courses are hiding from you and six easy ways to spot a counterfeit "trading teacher" from a mile away.

- One of his profit target strategies. (He has 4 proprietary tactics and gives us one, no charge).

- How to not be vague with your entries and stops like when others who say, "Buy a few cents, ticks, or pips above ___."

- A little known, no cost, scanner tool that can help you trade profitably, right now.

- A complementary excel sheet that does ALL the math for you so you can easily see the optimal position size and risk vs. reward ratio on all trades.

- Why ETFs are the best instrument to trade.

- Much more.

I promise it won't be a waste of your time. My friend really did do trades as large as 50 million before he left the world of money management. He did share a little of his story, but most of the hour is spent on the subjects above. As you know I like to share good content with my subscribers and this is one of them.

Click here to get the webinar replay:

Exchange Traded Funds

See you there,

Cheers,

Ave Ramel

P.S. I just finished reading the power points for Wednesday's webinar with my friend the ex-fund manager.

And, I've got to say, that in all my years in the trading business, this is the most content rich webinar I have ever seen. No hype, only hard core trading truths that not everyone is going to like.

Things like the fact that he and his hedge fund buddies used to hunt stops. Now he's teaching "civilians" how to make money off those hedge hunters.

If you are new to trading, this hour could save you thousands of dollars over the school of hard knocks.

Those who don't get information like this risk having their whole investment account being wiped out, before they've really had a chance to trade.

Don't miss out - Click here to register for this Free ETF and Money Management Seminar.

Exchange Traded Index Funds

For trading veterans I can guarantee you that the advanced position sizing tip is a golden nugget you'll use for increasing profits and decreasing risks in the years to come. This one tip could double your profits regardless of what your entry system is. The one tip alone can turn any average system into a winning system.

We'll cover:

- How to maximize your winners.

- Why most traders have it backwards when it comes to risk.

- How to eliminate 95% of trading stress and emotion.

- Why most traders have it backwards when it comes to winning percentages.

- Even how to become a professional money manager and raise millions, if you so desire.

That last one really surprised me. Because I know that if you really want to make millions in trading the fastest way is to use leverage with other peoples' money, when you are ready.

There are so many reasons to attend this F.R.E.E webinar Wednesday at 9pm EST. I honestly believe you're missing the boat if you don't take advantage of this opportunity. It won't be a waste of your time! I love sharing high quality content with my subscribers and this is going to be one of the best.

Our host has worked trades as large as $50 million during his money management career. He will share a little of his story, but most of the hour will be spent teaching you how to improve your trading.

See you then,

Exchange Traded Funds

Cheers,

Ave Ramel

P.S. In small markets like penny stocks his firm could do it all by themselves.

In larger more liquid markets they would team up with other hedge funds. He says even some banks would do it.

So what can you do about it? Learn to either stay out of the market when the hedge funds are hunting stops, or profit from it.

We'll talk about how to survive the hedge fund hunters during his complementary webinar Wednesday at 9pm EST.

Go ahead and reserve your slot now - with over 217,000 invitations and only 500 spaces, you'll need to register and opt in early to get on the webinar.

Exchange Traded Index Funds

In addition to the long list of topics I listed in yesterday's email, he will also be discussing:

- How some hedge funds hunt stops and a simple trick to avoid getting caught, most of the time. Yes, hedge funds, brokers and other individuals (not the "market") really do hunt your stops.

- One of his four proprietary profit target strategies. He'll just give you this valuable tip for listening in Wednesday.

- How to avoid being vague with your entries and stops (like those "gurus" who say, "Buy a few cents, ticks, or pips above ___.")

- A little known, no cost, scanner tool that can help you improve your trades, now.

- A complementary excel sheet that does ALL the math for you. You'll be able to easily see the optimal position size and risk vs. reward ratio on all your trades.

I promise it won't be a waste of your time. My trader friend really did do trades as large as $50 million before he left the world of money management. He will explain how he learned these tricks-of-the-trade, but most of the hour will be spent on teaching you how to be a better trader. I like to share useful content with my subscribers and this is a big chance to do just that.

Click here to register for your free seat at the Wednesday night webinar.

Exchange Traded Funds

Hope to see you there,

Cheers,

Ave Ramel

P.P.S. Don't place another stop before you hear how the hedge funds are gunning for your profits!

P.P.P.S. In only 1 hour, you'll be handed years of hard won experience from a big time trader (who's willing to spill the beans). Plus his 1 year mentorship offer will be unavailable after Friday December 4th. He is the type of teacher who likes to support his new students and doesn't need to keep selling courses.

Go From Breakeven To Profits With This One Technique

This Wednesday, January 6th at 9pm EST, join me for a free session with an ex $50 Million dollar fund manager when he reveals the secrets professional money managers use to:

- Risk 1-2% per trade and still make great returns.

- Instantly remove 95% of your trading emotions (as you know, fear and greed are the successful traders' enemy) with two simple tricks.

- He'll also show you how to reduce risk using his unique position sizing technique.

- A combination of a percentage risk stop and a technical stop.

- Plus an advanced tip using this concept that can instantly double your returns regardless of what system or markets you trade.

- He explains why trading is not a "zero sum game" and what this really means for you.

- How you can make profitable trades in only 10 minutes per night.

- Plus how Warren Buffett, Jim Rogers and others became great traders and investors.

- And, what the "gurus" selling hype trading courses are hiding from you and an easy way to spot a counterfeit "trading teacher" from a mile away.

- Much more.

Sound like a good use of an hour of your time? successful people in finance and investments never pursued finance in college? Did you know many never even went to college? There are people who have built successful careers in investments or the financial industry grew and learned on the job.

Like I said, there are many branches to this tree. Accountants, CPA's, and analysts must go through significant educational requirements before finding finance jobs. While these careers are built on heavy education and commitment, there are other areas of finance that do not require stringent or specialized education before entering the job market.

Stockbroker and Financial Advisor jobs

Stockbrokers, Registered Representatives and financial advisors are basically salesmen in the finance industry. That is not to demean what they do, it's actually true. Once you are a licensed stockbroker and working for a firm, you are a phone broker. Many of the top firms will require 2 or 4 year degrees before hiring you for a job, but a finance or investment related degree is usually not required. Many smaller firms do not require college at all. They are looking for brokers with talent, drive and the ability to communicate and persuade.

If you can convince the firm that you can earn money, you can get in. There are successful stockbrokers and advisors who make $200,000 or more and many of them were car salesmen, insurance agents, collections salesmen, real estate agents etc. Training is ongoing and most should decide after 6 months or one year whether this is the finance career or job they want.

By Jas http://www.articlesbase.com/finance-articles/finance-jobs-finance-career-364530.html

Different Jobs In The Finance And Banking Industries

Jobs in the finance industry are diverse and far reaching. Banking jobs have long been viewed as dull and uninteresting but this could not be further from the truth. With roles in financial planning, investment banking and real estate to name but a few, career paths in the finance industry are plentiful.

Commercial banking jobs are wide ranging, they offer great entry level positions and good career progression. The many large organisations in commercial banking also offer good employment security. Commercial banks provide employ more people than any other sector of the finance industry, they offer good opportunities to understand the world of business and interact with customers.

The world of corporate finance is wholly different as it usually entails working 'in house' using your technical knowledge to plan for a businesses future, the work is driven towards the growth of the business. Fundamentally jobs in this sector of the banking industry create value for their company, they are predominantly performance related so subsequently can be high pressure, although this pressure is elongated and based upon long term goals.

Financial planners carry out similar tasks to those in the corporate sphere; these jobs however are focussed upon helping individuals plan for their future. The work requires outstanding interpersonal skills while it can be ultimately rewarding; both financially and personally. For this role understanding of estate planning issues, investments and taxes is a prerequisite.

The field of insurance also offers a variety of finance jobs; insurance is increasingly becoming a lucrative field as more and more people become dependent upon it. Jobs in this sector include calculating risk and anticipating future problems. Job roles include underwriter, customer and sales representative, as well as asset manager. Today the insurance industry is trying to leave its negative image in the past and promote the idea that their industry is there to help people in times of need.

Investment banking has long been seen as the most lucrative sector in the financial industry. The job includes purchasing assets, trade securities and offering financial assistance. As well as large multinational investment banking firms there are smaller companies that operate on a more regional level. These jobs are important to world finance as the work larger companies undertake is often for governments.

Being a money manager is one of the most rewarding jobs in banking. It fundamentally involves the investment side of the stock market. Dealing in stocks and bonds makes up the majority of the work although freedom to work how you like is a large constituent of these jobs.

Unfortunately starting in money management is difficult, top companies only hire experienced individuals, although experience can be gained with local pension fund companies and insurance companies. Understanding portfolio theory, fixed income investments and gaining official qualifications will assist in getting this type of finance job.

Finally there is the financial field of real estate, jobs in this sector are diverse and vary from construction to mortgage brokering and leasing. With over a third of the world's wealth tied up in real estate this is a financially rewarding sector to enter. The close ties real estate has with society in terms of infrastructure development gives these jobs a sense of social responsibility, while the work offers different challenges on a daily basis. Of all the jobs in banking this is often the most interesting field to enter.

As previously stated, jobs within the banking and financial industries vary greatly; with so many disparate fields there is much to offer prospective financiers. The skills needed in the banking industries are considerably unique to each field. However, if you feel you are shrewd with funds and in most cases great with people, working in the finance industry could be the career path for you.

By Thomas Pretty

The Future of Finance Jobs

In the not so long-gone past, many career advisers were advising young people seeking to start out a career to go into finance. The financial markets were doing well then, finance jobs were in plenty and MBA schools were bursting with young students seeking to build a career in finance. And the finance jobs were, of course, not limited to the financial markets. With a strong economy, finance graduates who couldn’t get jobs in the financial markets and investment banks could quite easily be absorbed into commerce and industry accounting jobs. Other would get middle office finance jobs in the public service, and going was good.

Then the bubble burst.

The economy went into recession mode, the financial markets shrunk and finance graduates who had taken up jobs with investment banks found themselves facing the axe, as the investment banks are the worst affected by turmoil in the financial markets. And as if on cue, companies, in a bid to cut costs, were also cutting on their head counts, thus also shaking the fortunes of the finance graduates who found commerce and industry accounting jobs in the private sector. In the midst of all this, it seems that the only secure finance graduates are those who took up middle office finance jobs in the public sector, but even this is not fear-proof for we do not know for sure what the full effects of the economic turmoil will be on civil service staffing.

So in the face of all this, what is the future of finance jobs?

It might seem counter-intuitive to say, but the future of finance jobs is still bright, in spite of the current turmoil in the financial markets. As it were, economists tell us that the current economic turmoil is largely short-term to medium term, which is to say that it won’t be with us forever. Which means that the people who chose to pursue a career in finance need not regret their choice, as better times are coming. But even before the better times arrive, the people with finance backgrounds who are currently getting laid off might not find themselves in the cold for too long.

As governments unveil the various economic stimulus plans, there will be need for people to manage the money as it goes into various sectors – which translates to some finance jobs. Of course the finance jobs created in this way will be for the best brains in finance.

And then there is the fact that all companies, like human beings, have a native survival instinct, which they are likely to find handy in these hard economic times. One survival strategies for companies in crises is to hire the experts who are likely to navigate them through the particular crises. And since the current crisis is financial, the companies are likely to find themselves hiring financial experts to help them address the economic crisis.

Of course, the companies are not likely to be overtly looking for finance experts to help them address the financial crises. What we are likely to see is an increase in commerce and industry accounting jobs, but the accountants so hired are bound to be almost exclusively tasked with cost and revenue management tasks, geared towards helping their employers sail through the turbulent times successfully.

And finally the good times will surely come back again. If the history of the financial markets is anything to go by, we know that all bursts are always followed by booms.

By Crone Corkill

Careers In Finance: Insurance vs. Corporate

It has been eight years since my friends and I graduated from business school, eight long years since we studied all about the law of supply and demand and dreamed about our future careers in the exciting and rewarding field of finance.

There are six of us in our group and we have all managed to stay in touch with each other despite our hectic schedules. Who am I kidding? One big reason why we have stayed in touch with each other is because we help each other with contacts and networking. There’s nothing like a little school spirit to make the wheels of business spin a little faster. That is especially so since most of us have landed in different spheres of the financial industry. Different, yes, but I must also stress that these spheres are inter-connected. It really is a fascinating industry.

One day over drinks at the club, we decided to compare notes about our respective jobs. Much of the discussion revolved around the topic of who had the best job among us. Two of the guys, who were making a splash in insurance, strongly endorsed their field. They said that the insurance industry has annual revenues that surpass the trillion-dollar mark, which makes it a secure and financially-rewarding place to spend one’s career. The guys said that there are over 2.5 million people currently working in insurance now holding jobs as an underwriter, sales representative, customer service rep, asset manager or an actuary. As the guys said, the name of the game now is knowing how to manage risk and anticipate problem areas.

Gregory, the most scholastically gifted among us back in school, had a different opinion. He worked as a financial planner in a major corporation. Gregory argued that it is not the size of the industry that should determine who has the best job, but rather how important that job contributes to his company or clients. As a financial planner, Gregory said his position made him vital to the future of his company because he was the one who planned all the future spending of the company. Nothing would move without my approval, he said.

Actually, both of them had a point, but I had to ponder a little bit before I could response.

By: Jonathon Hardcastle

Is It Possible To Have An Accounting Career In Finance

There are so many jobs that you can choose from if you want an accounting career in finance. But life with career plus finance or work inside the finance industry will present you with more challenges and risks than you may have imagined.

Do not fear those risks. Finance involves money, the value of time and the risks involved. Interrelate the three and you will get an idea of how this concept works.

There are many avenues that you may want to venture on to when you are already on this type of business. You must gain experience through time because your career path will all boil down to what you know. If you want to succeed in this avenue, know all its corners, the manholes and especially the good roads.

Choosing a career in finance must be done when you are still choosing what courses to take in college. But other people are lucky to enter this world with little academic knowledge. Yes, there are high school graduates who eventually become successful in this field.

Pleasing Personality

It is very important that you know how to relate to all types of people to be able to last in this biz. Access to a financial institution's accounts and other services is often taken for granted. The advantages of banking can become clearer if you review some of the basics. This is even more relevant if you happen to be one of the few that have yet to open a checking or savings account with their local bank. You not only need to know what sort of obvious advantages a bank offers, such as the different features that are available to customers, but also how these relate to you particular needs.

Everyone would agree that one of the basic reasons bank accounts exist is to provide a place to put one's money to keep it safe. While images like stuffing your mattress with money may seem humorous to most of us, there have been times when people have done just that with the money they earned. In other situations, people might carry cash on their persons. The danger with either situation is that if money is stolen or lost, it cannot be replaced. Thus, using a banking service like an account is a good way to protect your assets.

Equally important is the fact that most people who are employed receive paychecks that can be redeemed for cash at banks. Of course, banks have a common policy that requires them to charge a fee for the cashing of someone's paycheck. This may not seem very important since the fees are generally very small. Yet, even a small fee can amount to something over time. The advantage to having a bank account with a local bank is that those fees will be waived if you keep an account with them.

Those same banking institutions also provide features that provide convenient use of accounts whether you want to establish a checking account and use checks to pay bills rather than cash or if you wish to obtain a debit card that can be used in the place of money. Both of these options provide easy access to your funds without being on the premises, physically withdrawing the funds from your checking or savings account.

While the direct advantages of keeping some type of banking account may be obvious to some, there are some indirect benefits as well. What sort of indirect benefits are there? First, the very fact that you have an account may improve your chances of being approved for a loan. It may be especially true if you are attempting to get a personal loan from the bank you have an account with and do business with on a regular basis. Established relationship with regular customers can go along way to help you obtain that personal loan or business loan you need.

Similarly, the fact that you have an existing account with a banking institution might be considered when you are trying to get financing for a loan elsewhere. For example, the lender may want to know if you have an active saving or checking account with a positive balance, so there is no doubt that you will have the ability to pay back the balance of the loan you receive.

These are all just some of the advantages associated with banking.

By Peter Kenny

Careers In Finance
The finance industry is concerned with how individuals and institutions handle their financial resources -- how they raise their money, where they allocate it and how they use it -- and assesses the risks involved in these activities as well as recommends ways to manage these risks.
There are a number of exciting and rewarding jobs in the field of finance. What follows are just a few examples.

The commercial banking sector employs more people than any other facet of the financial services industry. Banks offer individuals the opportunity to interact with a broad spectrum of people and the chance to develop a clientele. People in banking usually start out as tellers and shift to other bank services such as leasing, credit card banking, trade credit and international finance.

As the name indicates, a career in corporate finance means you will work in a corporation and are mainly concerned with sourcing money for the company -- money that will be used to develop the business, make acquisitions and ensure the company's future. In a corporation, you are likely to start as a financial officer.

As a financial planner, you may also work for a corporation but will mainly be concerned with only one aspect of finances -- planning for the future. You have to have a firm grasp of investments, estate planning as well as taxes. Or you may serve as a consultant who provides financial planning for individuals, e.g., planning their retirement needs or how they can put their kids through college.

With annual revenues surpassing the trillion-dollar mark, the insurance industry looms as one of the most attractive areas for a career in finance. In 2005, there were an estimated 2.5 million people in the US who were employed in the insurance field, which is mainly considered with the business of managing risk and anticipating problem areas. Possible jobs in insurance include working as an underwriter, sales representative, customer service rep, asset manager or an actuary.

A career in investment banking means you will be concerned with issuing securing and helping investors buy, manage or trade financial assets. As a bonus, you get the chance to work on Wall Street in a leading investment banks such as Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Goldman Sachs.

By Kadence Buchanan

Helpful Reminders To Last In Your Chosen Finance Career
If you are a newly graduate, your ideas about the world are still naive.
