Founded as a mining camp in the Colorado Silver Boom and named because of the abundance of aspen trees in the area, the city is now a ski resort and cultural center.
Finding things to do in Aspen, Colorado during the day isn't difficult - get out on the slopes and ski or enjoy one of the other winter sports that you love.
At night, however, Aspen really comes to life with Aspen nightlife! No matter how old or young you are, there is something to do in Aspen twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Currently, the mint produces a number of coins for public circulation. The five cent "Echidna" features the native Australian mammal. The Lyrebird graces the front of the ten cent coin.
On the twenty cent coin, the Platypus is depicted. The 50 cent piece features a beautiful rendition of the Australian Coat of Arms. And what coin collection from Australia would be complete without the Kangaroo?
This native marsupial is given center stage on the one dollar coin, while the two dollar coin depicts an Aboriginal tribal elder.
