Points To Ponder:
1. Imagine yourself publishing a newspaper or magazine. You can't simply do it in the real world
because you need funds. But you can do it so easily on the Web at a fraction of the cost.
You must realize that posting content on the Web is essentially publishing.
If you already got my calling card, you will notice in that card that my line of business is web publishing.
2. Pull strategy
In the previous lesson (Amazon.com), we discussed the "Push" strategy of thousands of "mom-and-pop"
ecommerce websites.
In the "Pull" strategy, you publish content that your target customers will search for.
In effect, you are drawing the visitors to come to your website because of your interesting (good)
content according to their liking.
All of the websites of Aredconsult Online Learning follow the "Pull" strategy. It is consistent with my
line of business, which is web publishing.
On my webpages, visitors can click on links (text and graphics) after they have read lessons, modules, tips,
etc. and they will be directed to one of the "Push" pages containing the products and services I'm
pushing.
3. Relevance of all pages in one website (Thematic Websites)
One of the most preferred websites today by search engines is the thematic website.
All your pages should be pertinent to a central theme or topic. That's why it's called thematic.
The search robots today examine all the content in different pages within a website. The higher the
relevance, the higher is the ranking in search results.
I highly recommend that if you have a different page topic, try to separate that page into another website.
