Another main reason why you must adopt market niching is that you can't sell to everybody on the Internet if you're on a shoestring budget.

There are now at least 295 million people in 26 countries connected to the Internet and 170,000 people are added daily. In the Philippines, there are now 16 million Filipinos connected to the Internet.

A very simple market segmentation I do is by country (geographical) and gender (male or female).

You can gather these data from your customers (people who have already bought your products) and subscribers, within 1-3 months.

I provide free subscriptions and in the online form, I also ask what they usually buy online at the bottom of the online form.

That's why I was able to gather lots of data since 1998, like nationalities that don't usually buy online (Philippines, India, Africa, etc.), and nationalities that always buy books and softwares (North America).
